The first Richard Shaw IMPACT Grant has been awarded to the Beaver Area School District’s Dutch Ridge Elementary. Steven Katkich, Assistant Principal, completed the grant request for $5000 to help fund “Farm Lab”. The overall project is to create a green house at Dutch Ridge Elementary to allow the study of environmental conditions, farming, composting and recycling with students in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades.
