The BCET received a generous $5000 EITC donation from Huntington Bank in 2018. Earned Income Tax Credit donations come straight out of PA corporate income taxes allowing corporations located in PA to funnel their tax dollars directly to EIO's across the state. LLS Comes Through in Year Two

Lincoln Learning Solutions made a three year commitment to help fund the Growing with Books program run by the BCET. Now in the second year of pledge, LLS has not disappointed and provided another $15,000 in funds. Twice a year the BCET sends age appropriate books to children in Beaver County to encourage new parents to read to their children, a.k.a. the Growing with Books program. The cost of the program is in the tens of thousands and the commitment by LLS has meant the BCET is secure in the knowledge that the beloved program will continue uninterrupted.

The Beaver County Educational Trust received a $500 donation from the Beaver Falls Rotary. Daniel Flick, president, presented the award to BCET executive director, Jamie Connolly, back in November of 2018. The BCET is grateful for the support of the local Rotary group of Beaver Falls. Beaver Falls Rotary meets Monday's at Noon at Z-Pubs in Chippewa and is a chapter of the larger Rotary International group that has helped to wipe out Polio around the world.

The Beaver County Educational Trust is grateful the Buncher Company chose to make a $10,000 unexpected donation. The Buncher Company is a privately held company with Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Created as an iron and steel scrap dealer, it became a leader in demolition, salvage, slag reclamation, and coal transfer. Through its storied and diverse background, it has emerged as a forerunner in service-oriented businesses. EITC, Education Improvement Tax Credit, is a Pennsylvania program where a corporation can donate to a state approved EIO, Educational Improvement Organization, and take the amount donated as a direct tax credit. If your organization pays PA Corporate income tax, please consider using the EITC program to donate to the BCET.
