Lincoln Kretchmar joined the BCET board of trustees back in 2012. Upon joining he jumped in by heading up the marketing committee and taking on the task of building the BCET brand in the minds of educators and donors in Beaver County. After focusing on creating a new website for the BCET, he moved into the social media sector. Along with creating a BCET social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, this master of confections started the Facebook group “Beaver County Teachers” giving an online space for teachers to collaborate independently with other Beaver County teachers.

Mr. Kretchmar believes education is a crucial part of improving society as a whole. He believes affording students the opportunity to experience new and creative ways of learning is one of the keys to enhancing outcomes. His favorite BCET program is the Great Idea Mini-Grant that helps give Beaver County teachers resources to innovate.
